James Dean, CEO SenSat networking at Discovering StartUps competition

Q: If you could offer one tip for startups pitching at this years competition, what would it be?
A: Have an engaging pitch that excites people. We received so much follow-up because I think our content was good – it really set us up well.

Q: Casting your minds back to the competition, would you say the competition provided you with new, valuable contacts? If so, can you tell us who & why
A: Yes – about 20 VC and Funds in London as well as some new friends and our current lawyers. The event really helped us enter an impressive circle of ‘doing people’ between London and Cambridge.

Q: How many staff did you have working for you in 2014 and how many do you have now?
A: We had 2, we’ve now got a team of 9
